Details:The first bite was a little dry perhaps, but I've tried to eat less promising things.
That is what this portly pooch seems to be thinking while licking a sign on the fridge with some incomprehensible scribbles on it; all except that word "FEED!!" - that one is pretty clear, and pretty appealing. Some comfort food might be good about now, because a recent comment about black and tan Manatees really hurt. It was bad enough being called a "Low Rider" while on a walk the other day (so parts drag, so what), and being compared to an ottoman was simply uncalled for. Some dogs are just Rubenesque, you know, or even just have big bones. Really, the humans seem set on making this poor pleasingly plump Dacshshund re-think some eating habits. What is with that embarrassing polaroid of this corpulent canine's rear end? And how about that unrealistic drawing of a long, thin Dachshund? Do they want this dog to be Doxarexic? And those words "Think Thin" - what could be the meaning of that? How does one "think thin"? But the insults continue - one of the magnets holding the large sign is of the dreaded cat, and it seems to be laughing at this weighty weiner dog. Another magnet is a hot dog in a bun, but having licked that and found it inedible that must be a trick, as is that hard ceramic bone magnet. A quick glance at the food bowl verifies that it is licked clean and has not been refilled. Well, this all just makes one give a heavy sigh indeed.
This fun illustration is perfect for you if you have a charmingly chubby canine or a good sense of humor. It would be especially funny placed at Weiner Dog eye-level. Other fun details to be found in this piece are a sign reading "Love Me, Love My Dog" and a yellowed clipping of a Super Duper Doxie comic strip on the fridge. In the handle of the fridge is a kitchen towel in a lovely bone and paw print pattern. There is a stuffed blue bunny toy and a chew bone on the floor, and the food and water dish coordinate with the kitchen towel.
